Exeter City have today completed the signing of 22-year-old Myles Anderson, following his release from Blackburn Rovers.
Anderson spent a month on loan with Aldershot this season, and he featured in defence when City visited the EBB Stadium in our 2-1 win there, then in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy in August. He helped the Shots to keep a clean sheet, en route to a penalty shoot-out victory.
City manager Paul Tisdale believes that the youngster has capability of progressing as a footballer at St James Park. Tisdale said:
We’ve seen Myles play and there’s a lot of potential there, so we are excited about the possibility of seeing his development with us.
We’re looking at this with a view to a player that can break through into the first team. So we’re excited by his potential as we’ve identified him as a talented and bright young individual.
Myles has been given the squad number 27.
Myles debuted for Aberdeen on February 2011 in a 5-0 Scottish Premer win over Kilmarnock. He then moved to Blackburn Rovers in July 2011, but has not made any appearances for them. He went on loan to Aldershot in August and had made 7 appearances in League 2 and the JPT.
